My expertise is in understanding how the violences of schooling interact with the delicate souls of our children. I have track record in helping children to feel empowered within their educational experience, despite problems.

The service I offer is not just for children. Parents can become traumatised and disempowered by the their child’s journey through schooling and the experiences of themselves as parents in trying to help their child survive and thrive. The interaction of a parent with “the system” can be heart-breaking. It can be stressful to an unhealthy -even dangerous - degree and not get the results a parent and the child want and need.

Light on Thinking operates in a very simple way. Children and parents get told the truth about schools. Not the details but the bigger picture. This has the wonderful effect of getting the issues into perspectives and reorientating suffering people towards resilience, solutions and calm.
